State of the Podcast

I’ll be doing a state of the podcast update at the end of season 1, which is fast approaching. However, I thought I’d share some of my thoughts now via the blog.

I’m hoping that, for season 2, I can release an episode twice a month, once on the first and then a second episode on the 15th. This should be doable as season 2 is a topic that I’m quite familiar with, the war between the United States and Mexico. As a matter of fact, it is the backdrop for the first chapter of what will be my dissertation. So writing about it shouldn’t be too difficult.

If, and that’s a big IF, everything goes according to plan April 15 will be the day I publish the final episode of season 1. I’ll then take about six weeks off, mainly due to grad school but also to read and write the first few episodes, which I will then publish starting on June 1.

I’d also like to do something special for the first anniversary so hopefully I’ll come up with something. Maybe a bonus podcast episode on the American War for Independence or the Declaration of Independence. I don’t know yet, but hopefully something will spring to mind soon.

Until next time…
